Stay in heaven on historic grounds. Our nunnery has 31 beautifully decorated hotel rooms in a dream location. This particular building is one of the few that remain from the medieval nunnery.
The glass door in the building leads you out to the Grass Garden. The Grass Garden was named by St. Bridget. Here they had planted the most beautiful flowers, the most fragrant herbs and some shady trees that would attract birds and butterflies. The purpose of the garden was for the nuns to spend time in this enchanting environment and think: If it is this beautiful on earth, how beautiful should it be in heaven?
From Gräsgården you can also see the large brick building that doesn't look so remarkable but is indeed remarkable. This is Sweden's oldest non-religious building, originally a royal palace from 1253, where the King's Hall is located. Adjacent to the King's Hall is the Chapter House of the Nuns with its beautiful murals.
