Under the entrance floor in the southern part of the monastery is the wine cellar. The thick vaults have supported the monastery building since the late 14th century. Some of our weekend packages include a welcome drink with a short history of the wine cellar. A unique setting - don't miss this opportunity!

The monks used the cellar for storing beer, wine and even cheese. The wine cellar today consists of about 5,000 bottles divided into about 700 varieties mostly from France and the classic wine regions Bordeaux and Burgundy. Of course, we have wines from almost all corners of the world.
Every evening the wine cellar is open at a special time (ask when booking) so you have the opportunity to go down and taste some good wine. Of course, we have wine tastings if desired(must be booked in advance. Please note that the wine cellar is not open for viewing during the summer months. Then the wine cellar is closed for visits in addition to booked tastings)
Star Wine List Our cellar has been awarded the White Star on the Star Wine List. This recognition confirms our passion and commitment to offering outstanding wines from the world's top wine regions. Our wines are carefully selected by experts, and we are delighted to be part of this prestigious network of wine bars and wine restaurants globally.
The wine is a Schloss Johannisberger Riesling, Germany. Of course, the cellar is not only filled with deliciously aged white nectar from Nahe or Rheingau.
We are proud of our range of fine wines from Bordeaux and Burgundy - of course, you can enjoy well-aged wines from your favorite Chateau.
