Old Christmas is finally back
Sparkling lights, the scent of mulled wine & Christmas carols at Borggården spread Christmas feelings at this year's coziest market at Vadstena Castle.
Our Christmas market is called Gammeljul at Vadstena Castle. The entire castle is filled with Christmas spirit and experiences. Visitors can wander around the courtyard and in the castle's halls and see live crafts and taste the good range of food crafts. Several crafts are demonstrated on site. The guided tour for both adults and children was included in the entrance fee. Santa Claus will of course make a long-awaited visit for the children.
♣ Entrance to Gammeljul is paid on site. When you have paid, you get a stamp that allows you to enter and exit the Christmas Market during the day. -You who booked a stay with us at Klosterhotellet can add a ticket at the time of booking for SEK 50.
♣ A large number of exhibitors of food, crafts and art will be on the castle premises for Old Christmas.
♣ Fika is for sale in the Café in the West Embankment and in the courtyard hamburgers, sausages, burnt almonds etc. are sold.
♣ Guided tours of the castle are included in the entrance fee(limited number of places, first come first served). Tickets for the adult tour can be picked up at the castle reception and tickets for the children's tour can be picked up at the craft corner.
♣ Dogs are welcome in the courtyard but not inside the castle. Strollers are allowed in the west rampart but may not be taken into the stone castle due to limited space.
